Privacy policy

Information pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) for visitors to this website and for those who request the free trial of a XEI add-on.

Visiting the website

The website does not use cookies, does not collect browsing statistics and does not load content from other websites. The language of the page is chosen from the browser's language settings, without storing anything.

The website is hosted by GitHub Inc. (GitHub Pages), which records technical data about visits, such as the IP address, for the security and operation of the service. GitHub Inc. is based in the United States and participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; the processing is described in GitHub's privacy statement.

Free trial request

The trial is requested with the form on the website, built with Microsoft Forms, or by email to license@xeisrl.com. The answers to the form reach XEI S.r.l., which automatically sends the trial code to the address given.

Data processed: requested add-on, email address, first and last name, company, VAT number, country, SAP Business One version, database, language for emails; in emails, also anything else written in them.

Purposes: issuing the trial code, checking that the same company does not receive several trial codes, answering questions about the add-on and the license, providing support during the trial.

To check for repeated requests, the service that issues the trial codes does not store the VAT number, the email address and the domain in clear text, but only their fingerprint (SHA-256 hash), from which the data cannot be derived, together with the trial code issued. The requests received are recorded in a Microsoft SharePoint list of XEI S.r.l.

Legal basis: pre-contractual measures taken at the request of the data subject (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). The data are necessary to issue the trial code: without them, the trial cannot be activated.

Retention: 36 months from the request, if the trial is not followed by the purchase of a license. For customers, for the duration of the relationship and then for the periods required by civil and tax law.

Who receives the data

The data are processed by authorized staff of XEI S.r.l. and by the providers of the email, form, automatic code issuing and sending (Microsoft) and hosting services, appointed as data processors. They are not sold or disclosed and are not used for advertising.

Rights of the data subject

By writing to info@xeisrl.com you can request at any time access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and you can object to the processing (Articles 15–22 GDPR).

You can always lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).
